Role Overview:

As a Developer Relations Software Engineer for Spacetime, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing relationships with developers and customers. Your primary focus will be on developer relations and customer onboarding, ensuring that developers and customers have a smooth and successful experience when working with Spacetime. You will work closely with the engineering, product, and customer success teams to understand customer needs, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the improvement of the Spacetime platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be an owner of Spacetime's public-facing APIs, empowering customers and the developer community to leverage its features and actively contribute to its evolution.
• Demonstrate product sense in selecting which combination of tools, scripts, documentation, technical on-ramps needed to accelerate internal and external developers’ time to onboarding Spacetime.
• Collaborate with the product team to communicate customer needs and contribute to the product roadmap by developing new Spacetime features
• Build and nurture relationships with developers and customers to promote Spacetime
• Serve as a technical advocate and liaison between developers, customers, and internal teams
• Collaborate with the engineering team to provide technical guidance and support to developers and customers using Spacetime
• Create and deliver technical content, including documentation, tutorials, and sample code, to assist developers and customers in understanding and utilizing Spacetime
• Assist in the onboarding process for new customers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful integration and usage of Spacetime
• Gather feedback from developers and customers to identify pain points, areas for improvement, and new feature requests
• Represent Aalyria at developer conferences, meetups, and industry events to promote Spacetime and engage with the developer community

Qualifications:

• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in languages such as C++, Golang, Java, and Python
• Experience working with developer communities and engaging with developers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address customer challenges effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Passion for technology, developer advocacy, and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with software-defined networking platforms
• Familiarity with wireless communications and networking protocols
• Previous experience in a Developer Relations or Developer Advocate role
• Experience creating technical content such as documentation, tutorials, or blog posts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS
