Role Overview

We are seeking an experience and execution-focused Curriculum Developer to join the Test & Evaluation Training team. This role operates in a highly ambiguous, built from scratch environment where core elements of the training program are still being defined. The Curriculum Developer will partner closely with the Senior Manager of Training Operations and subject matter experts (SMEs), across multiple business lines, to analyze, design, develop, and deliver training programs that support our rapidly evolving product portfolio and operational landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with maintainers, test engineers, operators and SMEs to identify training requirements and define clear learning outcomes.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and align training programs with business objectives.
  • Design and develop curriculum frameworks, course outlines, evaluation, and instructional materials using the ADDIE and Kirkpatrick models, and other instructional design methodologies.
  • Create learner-centered, experiential blended learning formats including instructor-led training (ILT), e-learning modules, simulations, interactive desktop-based learning, job aids, and hands-on practicals.
  • Translate complex, technical information into engaging and digestible learning experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Incorporate adult learning theory and industry best practices to drive knowledge retention, engagement, and performance outcomes.
  • Maintain version control, documentation standards, and compliance with internal training systems and platforms.
  • Partner with T&E Senior Manager of Training Operations to ensure frameworks align with T&E training strategy.
  • Support additional training initiatives across the department as priorities evolve.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technical Communication, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and training program management, preferably in technical, engineering, aerospace, or defense-related environments.
  • Experience developing effective, learner-centered solutions that go beyond traditional slide-based instruction (e.g., AR/VR, simulations, blended learning).
  • Proven ability to partner with technical SMEs to extract and organize information into structured learning paths.
  • Experience using authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Techsmith Camtasia, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design models and frameworks, including ADDIE, SAM, Gange's, Merrill's, and other adult learning theories.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality in documentation and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Group 5 UAS, FAA Part 145 MRO, production test, or flight test environments.
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training tracking tools (e.g., Cornerstone).
  • Prior Military experience (Operations or Maintenance Officer/Senior Enlisted).
  • Current security clearance
