Anduril's Rocket Motor Systems group is seeking a Director of Full Rate Production to join our team. The Rocket Motor Systems group designs, develops, and manufactures next-generation solid rocket motors for defense and space applications at Anduril.
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Leader to join our Full Rate Production team in McHenry, MS. In this role, you will help scale production efforts within a $100M next-generation production facility with first of their kind robotics and automation equipment. You will sit at the helm of end to end delivery producing thousands of cutting-edge solid rocket motors per year. This role is highly dynamic and requires robust people management skills overseeing everything from front-line labor to Manufacturing Engineers. The Director of Full Rate Production sits at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer experiences, fostering team development, and overseeing day-to-day SRM delivery. Success in this role demands consistent achievement across customer satisfaction, team management, operations, and financial goals. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in energetics and exemplify time-management skills, technical acumen, and a passion for leading transformative change.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of production supervisors, front-line team members, support staff, and manufacturing engineers in the production and delivery of solid rocket motors. You will have the critical task of managing the priorities, equipment, and people associated with the production line
Set priorities and direct daily operations to include timely issuing and completion of work orders to the production floor
Champion an EHS-focused culture by ensuring production processes, equipment, and team members comply with established requirements. Actively work with the EHS team to continuously improve processes and drive accountability to 5S standards
Manage, coach, mentor and support production technicians
Develop and refine process instructions. Ensure these processes are diligently communicated, trained to, and followed
Drive urgency and accountability by leveraging tools such as SPC, KPIs, and other performance data analysis. Employ problem solving and data-driven decision-making, and coach the production team to do the same.
Ensure products meet all quality standards and specifications. Implement and utilize quality control processes, participate in improvement and corrective action activities, and drive reduction in variability.
Be able to provide high level reports to Production Managers, Directors, Head of Production, and Senior Leadership as needed.
Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs
Complete transactions in production systems (NetSuite / JIRA Anduril MES) on daily basis
Work cross functionally to ensure inventory levels are maintained and accurate in each work area
Provide weekly report out of production progress, blockers, risks, needs. Generate daily pass downs and weekly production reports for engineering and operations team
Lead daily communication with cross functional team such as engineering, technicians, supply chain, logistics, and quality as necessary
Build a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes product knowledge, skills development, and X-training
Show up every day with a high level of urgency and enthusiasm to get the job done
US Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
