Global Defense Intern

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About The Team

The Global Defense team operates at the nexus of defense, technology, and security policy. We work to protect our company's global operations while navigating complex geopolitical landscapes, evolving regulatory frameworks, and sophisticated threat actors. Our work requires bridging technical security capabilities with strategic policy insights, engaging with government stakeholders, and shaping industry-leading approaches to defense and security challenges. We are a dynamic, mission-driven team that values diverse perspectives and thrives in an environment where security meets diplomacy and strategy.

About The Job

As a Global Defense intern, you will provide essential support to our strategy team, contributing to high-impact projects. The Strategy Team is responsible for Anduril's international government affairs, complex growth campaigns, and market and industry analysis. This internship offers graduate students a unique opportunity to apply your academic foundation in security policy to real-world challenges in a defense tech setting. You will work directly with senior leaders, gain exposure to VIP engagements, and develop practical skills that complement your graduate studies. We're looking for proactive, enthusiastic go-getters who are eager to roll up their sleeves, learn quickly, and make meaningful contributions from day one.

What You'll Do

Conduct international market analysis and competitive research on focusing on defense technology trends, geopolitical influences, evolving international policy developments, and regulatory landscapes; synthesize findings into actionable insights to inform complex growth campaigns.

Provide comprehensive support and engagement proactively during strategy meetings, briefings, and stakeholder meetings.

Manage Salesforce inputs and processes for the Global Defense team and ensure that our pipeline reviews are prepared and that follow-up actions are implemented.

Assist in creating and refining presentation decks for internal leadership and critical external stakeholders, including ministries of defense personnel, and key foreign partner leadership.

Translate complex geopolitical policy, defense acquisition strategies, and technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives that advance international growth campaigns and government relations objectives.

Edit and proofread strategic documents, policy briefs, talking points, and communications materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with team messaging.

Drive logistical planning and coordination for VIP engagements, including briefing materials preparation, agenda development, and stakeholder mapping.

Contribute to special projects as they arise, bringing fresh perspectives and energy to emerging challenges facing the Global Defense team.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's level) at a leading institution with a focus on international relations, security policy, defense studies, technology policy, or related fields.

Foundational understanding of the defense industry, national security policy landscape, or technology regulation/governance frameworks.

1-3 years of prior professional experience demonstrating foundational workplace skills and professional maturity.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise deliverables.

Proactive, self-starting attitude with strong work ethic and eagerness to take on new challenges; a "hungry go-getter" mentality who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior internship or work experience in government, defense, consulting, think tanks, or technology companies.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and collaborative tools; experience creating executive-level presentations.

Interest in or exposure to cybersecurity, emerging technologies (AI, cloud, etc.), or geopolitical risk analysis.
