About The Role
As the Head of Operations, Counter-Intrusion you will work directly with General Manager, Division leadership teams, and other Anduril leaders to manage business operations for the Counter-Intrusion business line. Work within this role includes quick-turn operational fire-fighting, redesigning and implementing processes, and leading high-impact strategic projects such as financial analysis, new business cases, internal research & development investments, product launches and acquisitions, and other unique initiatives that don't have a natural home. This role will require you to understand the levers required to effectively run a business, including engagement across program management, engineering, production, and central G&A teams.
What You'll Do
As Head of Business Operations, you will be critical to supporting all of these responsibilities. While a specific division or function will be your team, you will often work cross-functionally with leaders and teams throughout the organization to solve messy problems, set up new processes, capture data, action upon it, and enable others to do the same.
- Drive day-to-day business operations for the Counter-Intrusion business line. This will include business planning & organization design, talent planning & people operations, real estate &facility planning, security & infrastructure compliance, proposal & legal support, and sharing the division's narrative.
- Support the growth team in defining and formalizing the growth strategy and operational execution plan for the GM and business line, and supporting communication of these goals to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with finance partners and the Counter-Intrusion Business line leadership team to manage the P&L of the business line, including conducting financial analysis and generating new business cases or IRAD investment ideas,
- Enable corporate functions (e.g., facilities, security, IT) to more effectively deliver for the business line, ensuring the team has the necessary enablers and infrastructure to deliver on its mission. Project manage across large groups of stakeholders, translating across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, HR, Recruiting, Facilities, Growth, Deployments, and more.
- Translate strategic goals to execution plans, including defining workplans, metrics to track progress, working rhythm and cadence, and organizational structures to support success.
- Own operational projects end-to-end, from definition, to solutioning, to implementation. You will be handed ambiguous problems with little prescription on how to solve them, including taking on unique special projects that don't have a natural home within existing teams.
- Work on strategic problems, providing structure to ambiguity and helping shepherd cross-functional groups of stakeholders towards decisions on strategic issues. The role will ask you to couple first principles thinking with creative and iterative analysis to fully detail the impacts of potential decisions,
- Work deeply within data and systems, become intimately familiar with how our business systems (ERP, MRP, etc.) function, and leverage data from them to execute scrappy analyses on short timelines, all the while equipping functional teams with insights and tools to measure and improve their processes.
