About The Team
Integrated Systems is comprised of two of Anduril's business lines: Space and Intelligence Systems. This team is responsible for developing and deploying systems that combine hardware, software, sensors, and advanced AI/ML technologies. Key aspects include:
- System Integration: Merging diverse components—autonomous sensors, embedded processing, communication networks, and control software—to create cohesive products.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with teams across various engineering fields (hardware, software, AI, and data analytics) to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
- Operational Solutions: Delivering real-time situational awareness and decision-making tools designed for defense and national security applications.
- End-to-End Development: Overseeing the full lifecycle of product development—from initial design and prototyping to rigorous testing and system integration.
About The Job
We are looking for a Head Of Division Operations to join our rapidly growing Integrated Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for all internal operations of this Division, while partnering directly with the General Managers and Operations leaders of the individual Business Lines. Your work will vary from quick-turn operational fire-fighting, building and redesigning processes, to leading high-impact strategic projects. This role requires you to be a trusted partner to each part of the business (product delivery, engineering, production, and corporate), and to work with and support both the division and the business lines to drive toward business success.
What You'll Do
- Drive day-to-day business operations for the Integrated Systems Division. This will include business planning and org design, talent planning & people operations, real estate planning, security & infrastructure, proposals & legal, and sharing the division's narrative. For example:
- Defining the business rhythm and interface between the Business Lines and Division
- Enabling internal and external Division narrative in partnership with the Communications team
- Planning and leading strategy sessions with business lines, leadership offsites, all hands, etc.
- Lead cross-functional project management with other Divisions, Business Lines, and functional teams at Anduril
- Support the growth, execution, and operations of the business lines within the Division with operational support
- Lead strategic initiatives in line with the Division's priorities
- Problem solve to enable the Division to operate as efficiently as possible and scale accordingly
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, or internal business operations at an early-stage start-up
- Solid technical aptitude and proven ability to understand technical designs and ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to solve operational problems in a way that is both data-driven and people-centric
- High ownership with the horsepower to effectively manage multiple (6+) large projects and priorities in parallel, at a rapid pace, and report out on progress regularly
- Ability to work onsite five days a week at either our Washington D.C. office or at our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA
- Minimum 20% travel expected
- Able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or similar degree
- Experience working with engineers and bringing hardware/software products to market strongly preferred
- Experience working in defense
- Experience working effectively in a matrix organization structure
US Salary Range: $190,000 - $285,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
