About The Team

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer / eLearning Content Developer to support our global onboarding transformation. This contract role will lead the evaluation of our current learning content, make recommendations on delivery methods, and create engaging digital modules to scale onboarding across our global hubs. The role requires strong expertise in both instructional design and content development, with extensive experience in Cornerstone OnDemand and modern e-learning authoring tools. In addition, the role will curate digital content using LinkedIn Learning to design customized learning pathways for managers, leaders, and individual contributors. This is a three-month contract role, based at our Costa Mesa, CA HQ, with the opportunity to make a direct impact on shaping how new employees experience joining our company.

What You'll Do

Content Audit & Recommendations:

  • Audit all existing onboarding and learning content.
  • Make recommendations on what to keep as in-person synchronous learning versus what can be redesigned as asynchronous digital content.
  • Ensure recommendations are aligned with the global onboarding strategy and blended delivery model.

Content Redesign & Development:

  • Convert synchronous instructor-led content into asynchronous e-learning modules.
  • Use tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Synthesia, or similar to create engaging, interactive modules.
  • Ensure accessibility, scalability, and quality standards are met across all redesigned content.

LMS Implementation (Cornerstone):

  • Upload, configure, and manage onboarding content in Cornerstone OnDemand.
  • Create course structures, learning paths, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot and support integration of custom content.

Content Curation (LinkedIn Learning):

  • Curate LinkedIn Learning content into structured pathways for managers, leaders, and individual contributors.
  • Design customized learning journeys to support specific onboarding needs (manager capability, leadership effectiveness, technical skill-building, etc.).
  • Monitor and refine pathways for engagement and impact.

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

  • Partner with onboarding, learning, and business stakeholders to ensure rapid redesign and alignment.
  • Recommend process improvements for efficient, blended onboarding delivery at scale.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning content development.
  • Extensive experience with Cornerstone OnDemand (course setup, learning paths, reporting).
  • Strong skills with authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Rise, Synthesia, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated success in converting ILT (instructor-led training) into engaging digital learning.
  • Experience curating and customizing content using LinkedIn Learning or similar platforms.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills; able to work with multiple stakeholders to deliver results quickly.
  • Experience in global onboarding, employee experience, or leadership development.
  • Familiarity with blended learning strategies and onboarding process design.
  • Background in tech, defense, or manufacturing industries.
