- The Mechanical Design Engineer will drive engineering projects from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring specifications, budgets, and timelines are met.
- The role involves developing and implementing tooling and part solutions across the manufacturing value chain.
- The engineer will own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for specific products.
- Responsibilities include developing novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts.
- The position requires writing documentation for manufacturing hardware at scale, including work instructions and quality plans.
- The engineer will collaborate with contract manufacturers to establish repeatable processes for quick-turn development and large-scale production.
- Hands-on experience in building prototype hardware with production philosophies in mind is necessary.

- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an engineering or technology-related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or design of composite assemblies is required.
- The candidate should possess a genuine interest in manufacturing and a strong desire to learn.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T, is essential.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks, NX, or CATIA is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are important.
- U.S. Person status is required due to the need to access export-controlled data.
