The product team partners with chief engineers and program managers to derive a clear and succinct vision of Anduril products and capabilities. As a content strategist, you play a crucial role in the ability of our customers and their operators to adopt, train and operate our software and hardware solutions in the battlefield. Because Anduril is a fast-growing company at the early stages of growth, members of Anduril's product team must be resourceful, creative and eager to take ownership of complex matters.
About The Job
Anduril is seeking a talented Content Strategist to support the Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) Division. The AD&S Division is organized into three primary business lines: Mission Autonomy ("Lattice" for MA), Autonomous Air Power ("Fury" product line), and Advanced Effects ("Barracuda" product line). The ideal candidate will have experience with autonomous system content creation, documentation and training and will possess a Secret clearance, with Top Secret preferred. The position is responsible for the design, development and optimization of operator training and documentation initiatives for key programs across the division. This role ensures that complex technical information is transformed into clear, effective and differentiated onboarding experiences for test pilots, engineers and operators.
What you will do:
- Develop and manage a content strategy that supports operator familiarity and onboarding with AD&S software and hardware products
- Lead technical writing initiatives for AD&S products
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, program managers, designers and engineers to translate technical data into clear, easily comprehensible training modules and documentation guides
- Define content architecture, style guides, tone, and information hierarchy across documentation and media (videos, simulations, user manuals, quickstart guides, etc)
- Partner with engineering and product teams to maintain content accuracy as capabilities evolve
- Identify knowledge gap and propose new artifacts or updates based on user feedback
- Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in Air Dominance-specific workflows, ensuring that documentation is grounded in a deep understanding of operational context, engineering and user needs
- Drive adoption of templates and best practices across contracts and customer engagements
- Ensure training materials and related engineering documentation meet DoD/FAA/OSHA standards and data classification requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, instructional design, technical writing or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in content strategy or instructional development for technical or operator focused environments
- Familiarity with LMS, documentation platforms, and content authoring tools
- Excellent communication, editing and project management skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- You are highly respected amongst your peers and/or counterparts and known as someone who gets things done
- Location: Based in Costa Mesa, CA or Washington DC
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience developing content strategy or training materials for autonomous systems
- Aptitude in applying translating technical material to a broad range of audiences (internal developer docs, customer/operator training, third party integrators)
- Background in aerospace, defense or industrial training programs
- Secret or Top Secret Clearance
US Salary Range: $146,000 - $194,000 USD
