✨ About The Role
- The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will lead the design, development, integration, and support of machine learning models for various autonomous systems.
- This role involves developing software to manage and automate the machine learning lifecycle, including data management and training processes.
- The engineer will be responsible for managing model selection, training, validation, evaluation, deployment, and regression testing.
- They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and systems engineers, to ensure effective system integration and testing.
- The position requires developing tools and processes for machine learning in a classified environment.
- The engineer will strive to rapidly architect, design, deliver, support, and evolve next-generation autonomous vehicles throughout the entire product life-cycle.
âš¡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- They should possess significant experience in a senior role, particularly in delivering production-grade software systems with mature machine learning components.
- A strong background in ML Operations, including data acquisition, labeling, and pipeline management, is essential for success in this position.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists and stakeholders to implement robust validation and verification strategies.
- Experience in delivering computer vision capabilities, both from the data and model perspectives, is highly desirable.
- The successful individual will have the capacity to mentor junior team members while fostering team cohesion and growth.
- They should be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
