About The Job
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, People Solutions to reimagine how we build people solutions that scale with our defense technology mission. If you are passionate about the many cross-functional integrated processes that are necessary for defense tech to accurately track labor, ensure compliance, and scale operations efficiently—ultimately supporting the mission to deliver advantage to our warfighters—then this may be the opportunity for you. You will own the product roadmap for workforce management capabilities, collaborating with stakeholder teams spanning People Operations, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, and IT to define business needs, design and implement solutions, and ensure our people systems are aligned with the company's growth objectives and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
Strategy
- Own the end-to-end product strategy for workforce management solutions, such as timekeeping, balancing innovation with practical implementation
- Define and execute a 12-18 month product roadmap through continuous stakeholder engagement and ruthless prioritization
- Drive build vs. buy decisions by synthesizing business needs, technical constraints, and user experience goals
Stakeholder Management & Discovery
- Serve as the primary product owner, conducting regular discovery sessions with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners across People, Finance, Legal, and Operations
- Navigate competing priorities and translate diverse stakeholder needs into a unified product vision
- Communicate roadmaps, trade-offs, and impact to leadership with clarity and conviction
User-Centered Problem Solving
- Use AI-powered analytics and design tools to identify patterns in data and rapidly prototype solutions
- Translate complex compliance requirements (labor laws, union agreements, government contracting regulations) into user-friendly interfaces
- Balance the appropriate mix of commercial software and custom-built solutions based on business needs
- Partner with engineering teams to define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with People Operations, Finance, Payroll, and Legal teams to ensure solutions meet both user and compliance needs
Operational Excellence
- Monitor system performance, user adoption, and data quality metrics to inform roadmap decisions
- Create documentation, training materials, and change management plans that drive adoption
- Ensure audit readiness for government compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management, program management, or related experience
- Proven ability to intake diverse stakeholder requirements and prioritize roadmaps in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Strong design thinking and creative problem-solving skills—ability to challenge assumptions and reimagine solutions
- Experience implementing business systems at high-growth companies (5,000 to 20,000+ employees)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across Finance, People, Legal, and Operations functions
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear product specifications
- Strong data analysis skills and comfort with analytics tools to inform decision-making
- Experience using AI-powered analytics and design tools to rapidly prototype and test solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with workforce planning and scheduling tools for manufacturing or operations
- Technical skills: SQL, API integrations, data modeling
- Background in high-security or defense industry environments
- Exposure to ERP and HCM platforms (Rippling, Oracle, Workday, ADP, etc.)
US Salary Range
$166,000 - $220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
