Technical Program Manager, Frontier Systems

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About The Team

The Frontier Systems team at Anduril is at the forefront of incubating and maturing high-potential, software-defined, AI-native offerings that meet the toughest, newest challenges across hardware, software, space, and cyber domains. We're the architects of mission autonomy and mesh networking, delivering scalable hardware solutions that meet some of the most urgent national security needs. By working hand-in-hand with elite teams in Perception, AI, Motion Planning, Hardware, Test Engineering, Space, Networking, and Vehicle hardware, we craft cutting-edge, end-to-end systems that redefine mission success.

About The Job

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our rapidly growing Frontier Systems business line in Costa Mesa, CA or Washington DC. This TPM will serve as a critical and trusted extension of our Analysis Team on one of Anduril's most crucial programs of the coming years. This role is paramount to ensuring cohesive technical execution and robust communication across a wide-spanning, strategic DoD program that integrates capabilities from multiple internal business lines across multiple technically challenging activities. Their primary responsibility is to be ubiquitous, observing technical progress, identifying inter-activity dependencies and communication gaps, and synthesizing this information into actionable insights for senior technical leadership. This is a highly mobile, deeply technical, and exceptionally communicative role, demanding a fundamental understanding of complex engineering challenges without direct ownership of technical design or engineering risk.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a technical extension of program leadership with internal and external stakeholders alike
  • Gain a fundamental understanding of the technical progress, critical paths, and emerging challenges within each contributing technical maturation and product development activity
  • Develop and maintain a fundamental understanding of the intricate technical details and engineering challenges faced by each technical activity and business line
  • Proactively identify and bridge communication gaps, foster collaboration, and ensure seamless information flow across varying teams like Space Systems, Advanced Effects, Advanced Sensing, Propulsion, Hardware, and Software
  • Maintain a constant, accurate pulse on the technical health and integration status of the program across all technical and product development activities and business lines
  • Proactively identify and flag potential technical risks, integration challenges, and emerging issues for senior technical leadership's review, analysis, and action remediation
  • Organize and facilitate critical technical review meetings, integration sessions, and deep-dive discussions that bring together leads from different product development efforts to ensure technical compatibility, shared understanding, and coherent progress

Required Qualifications

  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Systems Engineering)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex technical concepts, risks, and statuses into clear, actionable insights for both deeply technical and executive audiences
  • Experience with the deployment and integration of sophisticated hardware and software systems - particularly for sophisticated aerospace and defense systems
  • Experience with building and leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience serving DoD/IC customers and comfortable interfacing with key government stakeholders on a frequent basis
  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow
  • Comfortable with setting and achieving goals in an amorphous environment
  • Comfortable with working in limited resource environments
  • Ability to travel multiples times per quarter based on program needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to advanced defense domains ranging from: satellites, spacecraft, missiles, sensing hardware (terrestrial or space-based), propulsion systems, rocket motors, or advanced autonomy/AI applied to defense systems
  • Experience operating in as a technical advisor or liaison to senior program leadership
