About the Company and Team
Apeiron Labs is a venture-backed startup based in Cambridge, MA. Our goal is to do for ocean sensing and monitoring what the LEO satellite revolution has done for earth observation. We supply customers with data-as-a-service and value-added solutions based on data from the upper 400m of the ocean, anywhere on the planet, on demand.
You will be joining a high-power, multi-disciplinary, collaborative team of engineers and scientists with a wealth of expertise in marine robotics, oceanography, and scalable software systems. We have started and successfully exited venture-backed companies, shipped innovative products at scale, and designed and deployed standard-setting autonomous underwater vehicles.
Your mission
You will be our first business hire and report to the CEO. Your primary focus will be on designing and executing a business development strategy including customer discovery, market segmentation, competitive analysis, pricing, and securing our initial customers. Early target markets include offshore wind, shipping, weather forecasting, and aquaculture. You will represent Apeiron Labs at customer and industry events and develop forecasts and strategies based on customer and market feedback. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across customer discovery, business development, product management, and sales. Travel to customer locations and tradeshows is required.
