Senior Signal Processing Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced digital signal processing engineer to join our cognitive sensing and radio frequency (CSRF) engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a significant role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge signal processing software solutions that align with our mission to deliver advanced technologies in signal and electronic intelligence (SIGINT and ELINT). This position requires extensive expertise in radar signal processing, modeling radars, software development, and applications of interest in the defense space.

At Applied, you will:

  • Design and develop signal processing algorithms.
  • Implement software-driven solutions for modeling the RF spectrum, and machine learning-based RF techniques.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in signal processing and machine learning algorithms as they apply electronic warfare techniques, algorithms and models, and implement best practices.
  • Execute and support the engineering aspects of product development.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in RF signal processing.
  • Strong programming skills in scripting (e.g., Python), and compiled languages (e.g., C and C++).
  • Ability to translate specification documents into working software suites.
  • Design, develop and evaluate software applications in electronic warfare.
  • Ability to transition software simulation applications that are deployed on hardware.
  • Passion for solving complex problems with little supervision in a fast-moving team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.

Travel Requirements:

Must be willing to travel as projects require. Estimated average travel is once every month for between 2 days up to 1 week. (~25%)

Security Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice to have:

  • 5+ yrs experience with software implementation of signal processing algorithms
  • Well versed in cognitive electronic warfare techniques.
  • Software integration and understanding of electronic warfare systems.

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
