Software Engineer / DevOps
We are looking for a software engineer with a passion for improving developer experience and deployment processes. In this role, you will work across engineering teams to identify key sources of friction, improve workflows, develop new tools, and generally uplevel the velocity and reliability of the entire software, and automotive development and deployment lifecycle. Please note that this role involves travel to our customer site on a weekly basis.
At Applied Intuition, you will:
- Design, build, and improve the tools, libraries, and frameworks for our engineering team
- Build and test scalable tools for deploying to various automotive and cloud platforms
- Optimize our compile/build times using tools like Bazel, CMake, Docker
- Improve software deployment and data collection frameworks
- Identify and solve bottlenecks within our software stack
We're looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience with backend and/or platform engineering
- Experience using Python or C++
- Experience with CI/CD, build, and deployment technologies like Bazel, Buildkite, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins, and comfortability with scripting for automation
- Experience with Linux and/or ARM systems
- Experience working with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform
Nice to have:
- Experience using Go, Java, or Kotlin
- Experience working in automotive or related industries
- Experience with deploying software on either public clouds (e.g., AWS) or on-premise clusters

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
