✨ About The Role
- The Sr Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the detailed design of actuators, both linear and rotary, for advanced robotic systems.
- The role involves conducting engineering analysis to drive design decisions and optimize designs through methods such as FEA.
- Candidates will create GD&T-informed drawings, Bill of Materials, and procurement documentation as part of the design process.
- Participation in pilot builds and the development of assembly instructions will be key responsibilities.
- The engineer will also perform DVP&R to ensure that designs meet specified requirements and iterate on designs for scalability and DFMA.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of actuation and/or robotic systems is essential for success in this role.
- Candidates should possess high proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Creo, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are necessary, as the role involves working closely with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers.
