- The Mechanical Engineering Intern will assist in assembling, integrating, and testing the spacecraft engine, working closely with various engineering teams - Responsibilities include designing, testing, and building flight hardware, as well as contributing to the development of novel capabilities within space products - The intern will partner with system owners from different disciplines to refine hardware designs and ensure high-quality product delivery - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in the space industry and contribute to the growth and evolution of launch vehicle products - The role involves exposure to Hall Effect Thrusters, environmental testing, and aerospace-grade lubricants, providing a comprehensive learning experience

⚡ Requirements

- Ideal for a current student pursuing a degree in a STEM field, looking to gain hands-on experience in the design and testing of complex systems - Requires a self-motivated individual with a creative mindset, willing to think outside the box and contribute new ideas to the team - Experience with programming languages like C/C++, Python, or MATLAB is beneficial for this role - Exposure to traditional machining methods and high-pressure fluid systems would be advantageous - Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment and contribute to the development of innovative space products
