Senior Product Program Manager, Defense Products
In this role, you will bring rigorous operational structure to fast-moving, ambiguous product environments. As the Product Program Manager for Defense Products, you'll own the internal backbone of our Short Range Strike and Medium Range Strike portfolios, translating field insights from our forward-deployed engineering team into structured, predictable product roadmaps and disciplined lifecycle management.
Your job is to be the internal anchor that makes our defense product teams successful. While forward-deployed engineers handle customer-facing technical execution, you ensure that the insights they gather in the field become actionable plans, clear backlogs, and reliable release cycles.
Your mission: Bring order, structure, and strategic clarity to Auterion's defense product portfolios. Ensure that field intelligence translates into disciplined product operations that scale.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Take full ownership of the internal product lifecycle for the offense portfolio. Manage phase-gate reviews, compliance documentation, and release readiness end-to-end.
- Partner with the forward-deployed engineering team to capture field requirements. Translate these into structured, prioritized product roadmaps and clear engineering backlogs.
- Act as the central hub for all internal product communication. Ensure engineering, marketing, sales, and executive leadership are continuously aligned on product status, delays, and milestones.
- Establish and enforce standardized product operations processes where they are currently lacking or circumvented. Bring order to chaos.
- Own product operations tooling and reporting infrastructure. Build and maintain dashboards, tracking systems, and documentation that give internal stakeholders a single source of truth for product health.
- Run regular synchronization meetings across engineering, sales, marketing, and leadership. Drive accountability on timelines and deliverables.
- Provide input into product strategy and roadmap based on synthesized mission feedback, frontline user requirements, and cross-portfolio patterns.
- Periodically travel to field sites and customer locations to maintain firsthand context on operational realities and strengthen the feedback loop with the forward-deployed team.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years in Technical Program Management, Product Operations, or Product Management within defense, aerospace, or complex hardware/software systems.
- Exceptional organizational and structural leadership. You create clarity in ambiguous environments. You build systems, processes, and communication rhythms that keep complex, multi-stakeholder programs on track.
- Technical fluency with field-oriented teams. You are comfortable partnering closely with highly technical, forward-deployed engineers and translating their unstructured feedback into actionable product plans. You don't need to be the deepest technologist in the room, but you need to hold your own.
- Process-driven and systems-minded. You identify where process is missing or breaking down and fix it without waiting to be asked. You have strong opinions on tooling and know how to stand up operational infrastructure that teams actually use.
- Autonomous and proactive. You take ownership, move with urgency, and thrive in uncertain or ambiguous situations.
Benefits
- Flexible working hours
- Stock Options
- Generous holiday allowance
- Pension plan
- Extended social security package
- Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
