Marketing Manager, Competitive Analysis

Role Overview
The Marketing Manager, Competitive Analysis, will be responsible for deeply understanding our competitive landscape across product capabilities, marketing strategies, go-to-market motions, and sales tactics. This role will gather and synthesize competitive intelligence, translate insights into actionable recommendations, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Competitive Research: Monitor and analyze competitors' product features, positioning, pricing, campaigns, partnerships, and sales strategies.
- Intelligence Gathering: Leverage public sources, customer feedback, analyst reports, and internal insights to build a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape.
- Synthesis & Strategy: Translate raw data into strategic insights and recommendations for Product, Sales, Marketing, and Executive teams.
- Enablement: Create and maintain competitive battlecards, win/loss analysis, and objection-handling guides for sales and customer-facing teams.
- Executive Reporting: Deliver regular briefings and strategic updates to senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and market shifts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Product Management to ensure competitive insights inform roadmap and GTM decisions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, product marketing, or competitive intelligence.
- Experience in fast-paced startup environments.
- Strong understanding of AI, automation, and enterprise software markets.
- Proven ability to analyze complex information and distill it into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with executive audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with competitive intelligence tools and frameworks.
- Experience supporting sales teams with competitive positioning and objection handling.
- Background in marketing or analyzing products in the AI or automation space.
