Who We Seek:
A highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Operations Analyst to optimize the efficiency and productivity of our Research & Development department. You'll play a critical role in supporting R&D leadership by providing data-driven insights and managing key operational processes.
What You'll Do:
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key R&D metrics, such as release velocity, bug resolution time, and resource utilization, presenting findings to R&D leadership.
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing R&D workflows (e.g., development lifecycle, QA process) to identify bottlenecks, propose improvements, and drive the implementation of more efficient operational processes.
- Budget and Resource Management Support: Assist the R&D leadership team in planning, tracking, and optimizing the R&D budget and resource allocation across various projects and teams.
- Subject Matter Expertise & Admin for R&D Systems: Serve as the subject matter expert and administrator for Products and Engineering system tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Aha!), providing governance, optimization, and training to maximize team efficiency.
- Strategic Reporting & Board Preparation: Prepare detailed board materials and presentations summarizing R&D performance, progress against KPIs, and strategic initiatives for executive review.
- Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis: Handle various ad-hoc reporting requests from R&D leadership, Finance, and other stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of critical operational data.
- Tooling and Infrastructure Coordination: Act as a key liaison between R&D, IT, and Finance to ensure R&D teams have the necessary tools, licenses, and infrastructure to operate effectively.
What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience in an Operations Analyst, or Program Management role within a Software / Technology company.
Academic Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Important Skills or Attributes:
- Analytical & Data-Driven Mindset: Proven ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets (preferably using tools like SQL, Excel/Sheets and Looker) to derive actionable insights.
- Process Improvement Expertise: Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban) and experience in implementing process improvements.
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex operational issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project Management Fundamentals: Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with R&D operational tools such as Jira/Confluence, GitHub/GitLab, and reporting/BI tools.
