This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will push the boundaries of what's possible in facilities management and operations, as a visionary and hands-on leader supporting Blue Origin's Launch Site One. You will contribute substantively to the team's impact on all aspects of building and operating our world class facilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintenance and operations of facilities infrastructure at leased residential/gym properties, and hospitality/catering services to include Blue Housing (duplexes, homes, and apartments), Hotel (Crew Quarters One), Recreation Services (Lift Site One Gym), Dining Facility and Operations.
- Provide direction and leadership to the facilities staff and contractor work force.
- Oversees daily operations of the upkeep of physical infrastructure, ensuring a continual state of safety and readiness for Blue Origin employees in residential, hotel and gym properties.
- Project manage modifications and improvements to properties
- Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and operations of facilities and infrastructure, including annual operating and capital budgets.
- Coordinate with local site leadership and other internal/external stakeholders on priorities, strategy, and operational execution, and provide regular updates on KPI.
- Develop and implement strategies for customer centricity to meet current and future growth needs for housing, hotel, gym and food services.
- Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives--adept at constructability analysis and value engineering to maximize customer value.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of management and leadership experience in facilities management or related fields.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of planning and guiding complex technical work.
- Recent and relevant experience in facility project management and team leadership skills.
- Experience developing Statements of Work (SOWs) and managing contractors.
- Must be skilled at change management (scope and cost changes) and familiar with review of plans, specifications, proposals, change orders, schedules, and requests for information.
- Strong bias for action and a proven track record for delivering results while leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and communication (oral and written).
Desired:
- Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, hospitality services or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive background in facility operations and facility maintenance.
- Background in hospitality food services and Food Code.

- Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
- Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
