- The role involves managing a team of engineers to support the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the BE-4 rocket engine.
- Responsibilities include defining, developing, implementing, and optimizing rocket engine MRO and test processes.
- The candidate will handle build sequence, cost, quality, and schedule of hardware throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conducting DFMA and PFMEA studies to improve the design-to-build feedback loop is a key responsibility.
- The role requires collaboration with vendors to develop new manufacturing techniques and improve designs and processes.
- The candidate will perform root cause analysis for non-conformances and deploy corrective actions.
- Lean manufacturing methodologies will be applied for process development and problem-solving.
- The position may require travel for training and support activities, expected to be up to 25% of the time.
⚡ Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering or a related field is required.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of validated experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Prior experience leading teams is essential for this role.
- A strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing fundamentals, including GD&T knowledge, is necessary.
- The candidate should have experience with maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of aerospace hardware.
- Proficiency in technical software such as CAD, Excel, and issue tracking tools is expected.
- Attention to detail and a results-driven approach are critical for success in this position.
