- This role involves supporting at-sea space hardware recovery operations, directly impacting the history of space exploration. - Responsibilities include the fabrication, operation, and preventative maintenance of recovery vessels and ground support equipment systems. - The technician will perform checkouts and maintenance according to established procedures and suggest improvements to those procedures. - The position requires following complex technical sequences while adhering to safety policies and procedures. - The technician will work closely with engineers on design concepts and improvements for ground support equipment.

- The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in aerospace, marine, or a relevant field, specifically in maintaining, installing, and repairing electronic control systems and data communications equipment. - A strong technical background in high voltage AC and DC electrical systems, as well as PLC troubleshooting, is essential for success in this role. - Experience with RF systems and the ability to interpret and update wiring diagrams and engineering specifications will be crucial. - The candidate should be familiar with maritime navigation equipment and serial communication systems, showcasing a well-rounded technical skill set. - A commitment to safety and quality, along with the ability to work in extreme environments, is necessary for this position.
