This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and Communication: Track, maintain, and communicate dynamic schedules. Monitor and update schedules throughout the day. Clearly communicate job statuses and schedule updates to stakeholders. Provide tactical and strategic scheduling expertise.
  • Coordination and Planning: Coordinate initial staging of materials and kits. Participate in capacity planning and forecast work center demands. Engage with internal stakeholders to assess and address schedule impacts. Interface with program and operations teams to report progress and risks.
  • Production Flow and Inventory Management: Identify and address constraints in the production flow. Manage work order life cycle from creation to completion. Support accurate movement and tracking of work and materials. Maintain inventory levels to support production needs.
  • Process Improvement and Compliance: Foster collaboration across value streams like supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering. Utilize planning insights to eliminate blockers and streamline processes. Implement push/pull methods to improve lead times and ensure compliance. Continuously seek ways to enhance the processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-2+ years of professional manufacturing experience in production or manufacturing planning and scheduling or operations
  • 0-2+ years of practical experience with ERP/MRP systems in production environment
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project)
  • Ability to thrive in a high energy, high growth multifaceted environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, as well as overtime, when necessary.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or production environment
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, or similar field
  • Experience establishing new schedules and performing complete overhauls/replans of existing schedules
  • Experience leveraging existing data sets to provide analytics insight
  • Experience in aerospace research and development and manufacturing environments
  • Proven record of hands-on development and implementation of company-wide process improvements

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training. Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
