Internship Opportunity At Blue Origin

As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units. GNC Projects may include different aspects of guidance, navigation, controls, autonomy, avionics, simulation, system test, aero sciences, and systems engineering.

During your internship experience, you can expect to:

• Gain hands on, real-world experience.
• Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers.
• Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester of school remaining after the internship.
• Students who have acquired a junior or higher academic standing at the time of application.
• Available to work full time while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
• Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with MATLAB or SIMULINK.
• Passion for space.

The compensation range for CA, CO, and WA applicants is $32 an hour. We offer housing and relocation support. Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from their work locations.

Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training. Required for certain job profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
