About the Role:

We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join the Tanzu Platform UI team, where you will shape the user interface and experience of Tanzu Platform. This is a senior engineering role with broad technical influence, high visibility, and significant ownership over how users interact with the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a globally distributed senior engineering team in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals.
• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the Tanzu platform UI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Ensure applications are performant, high-quality, and responsive at scale.
• Build with security, privacy, and compliance in mind, ensuring enterprise-grade standards are met.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on front-end development.
• Deep expertise in Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of modern UI development practices, performance optimization, and testing.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and secure coding practices.
• Significant experience working on and contributing to large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams across disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other UI frameworks such as React or modern JavaScript.
• Familiarity with backend technologies (Java, Spring) and cloud-native environments.
