- The internship involves designing and building space structures and thermal systems for satellite communication systems.
- Interns will collaborate closely with Cesium engineers on product development, design, testing, and manufacturing.
- Areas of focus include conduction-cooled packaging, deployable structures and mechanisms, and lightweight composite space structures.
- Assignments will be based on project availability and the interests of the successful candidates.
- Interns will have opportunities to present their work regularly to peers, mentors, and executive leadership.

- The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- A strong academic record with a GPA of 3.5 or higher is essential for success in this role.
- Candidates should have completed upper-level undergraduate coursework in structures and heat transfer.
- Proficiency in mechanical FEA tools, such as SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS, is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as interns will present their work to peers and leadership.
