✨ About The Role
- Responsible for mechanical design aspects of phased array antennas, subsystems, and interfaces for leading-edge communications satellites
- Involved in all phases of the development process, from requirements definition to in-orbit support
- Conducts architectural trade studies, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and proposal-writing efforts
- Designs and manufactures mechanisms, mechanical actuators, and deployment mechanisms for space applications
- Familiarity with satellite thermal architectures, launch and LEO environments, and design for test, manufacturability, assembly, and reliability
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced mechanical engineer with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in space antenna and payload mechanical engineering
- Proficient in conducting architectural trade studies, mechanical analysis, electronics packaging, and thermal architecture
- Skilled in CAD tools such as Ansys Mechanical and SolidWorks Simulation, as well as CNC manufacturing and GD&T
- Strong background in aerospace manufacturing and materials, including carbon composites and deployment mechanisms for space applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present engineering design review materials to customers and executive teams
