✨ About The Role

- Responsible for mechanical design aspects of Cesium phased array antennas, subsystems, and interfaces through all phases of the development process - Design mechanical components from concept through space flight, including requirements definition, architecture trades, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support - Present engineering design review materials to customers and executive team, as well as participate in proposal-writing efforts - Requires proficiency in mechanical analysis, electronics packaging, computer-aided design (CAD), thermal architecture, spacecraft propulsion, deployable and actuated structures, and environmental qualification of spacecraft antennas and payloads - Full-time position with a compensation range of $120,000 to $155,000 per year, including company stock options and a generous benefits package

⚡ Requirements

- Experienced mechanical engineer with a minimum of 9 years in space antenna and payload mechanical engineering, including electronics packaging, thermal, shock, vibration, stress dynamics, and cost - Proficient in conducting architectural trade studies, using professional mechanical and FEA CAD tools, and working with CNC manufacturing and GD&T - Skilled in detailed mechanical design, designing and manufacturing mechanisms and mechanical actuators, and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques - Familiar with satellite thermal architectures, launch and LEO environments, and design for test, manufacturability, assembly, and reliability - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present engineering design review materials to customers and executive teams
