✨ About The Role
- The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design aspects of Cesium phased array antennas, subsystems, and interfaces throughout the development process.
- They will lead mechanical designs from concept through space flight, including requirements definition, analysis, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support.
- The role involves conducting architectural trade studies, presenting engineering design review materials, and participating in proposal-writing efforts.
- Proficiency in detailed mechanical design, experience with EMI/EMC mitigation techniques, and familiarity with satellite thermal architectures are key responsibilities.
- The successful candidate will work on developing space hardware for leading-edge communications satellites and will be part of a dynamic and cross-functional work environment at CesiumAstro.

- The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced mechanical engineer with at least 5-8 years of relevant industry experience in space antenna and payload mechanical engineering.
- They should have a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or institution.
- Proficiency in mechanical analysis, electronics packaging, computer-aided design (CAD), mechanical interfaces, thermal architecture, and spacecraft propulsion is essential.
- Strong communication skills are required as the successful candidate will be presenting engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team.
- Experience with professional mechanical and FEA CAD tools, CNC manufacturing, and advanced aerospace manufacturing and materials is highly valued.
