Technical Recruiter (Remote - US)
Compound Eye teaches machines to understand their surroundings in 3D and in real time using only passive sensors like cameras. Our VIDAS™ technology enables vehicles, drones, and other robots to determine their position and navigate their environment without LiDAR, radar, or GPS. Compound Eye has customers in both defense and commercial robotics and is backed by Khosla Ventures, RTX Ventures, and other leading investors.
We're looking for a Technical Recruiter to partner closely with our Head of People and hiring managers to help us scale the team thoughtfully and efficiently. This is a hands-on, full-cycle role for someone who thrives in an early-stage environment and enjoys recruiting for deeply technical roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, from role intake and sourcing through offer close and onboarding handoff
- Partner closely with hiring managers and interview panels to:
- Calibrate on role requirements and seniority
- Provide clear feedback on candidate quality, pipeline health, and market dynamics
- Advise on tradeoffs and hiring strategy in competitive markets
- Source and engage highly technical candidates, including senior-level engineers, across domains such as software engineering, computer vision, ML/AI, robotics, and hardware-adjacent roles
- Build credibility with candidates by developing a strong understanding of Compound Eye's technology, products, and technical challenges
- Deliver an excellent candidate experience through clear communication, thoughtful coordination, and timely feedback
- Own and continuously improve recruiting execution and operations, including:
- Managing and optimizing our ATS (Ashby)
- Ensuring clean data, strong pipeline visibility, and effective reporting
- Iterating on recruiting workflows and processes in partnership with the Head of People
- Coordinate with and help manage relationships with external recruiting partners when needed
To Thrive in This Role, You Have:
- Proven experience as a full-cycle technical recruiter, including in a startup (<50 employees) environment
- Strong sourcing skills and a track record of hiring for highly technical roles
- The ability to quickly learn complex technical domains and communicate credibly with engineers and technical leaders
- Experience partnering closely with hiring managers, including providing feedback
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously
- A collaborative working style and comfort operating with some ambiguity
While Not Required, It Would Help To Have:
- Experience recruiting for deep-tech, robotics, hardware, autonomy, or AI-focused teams
- Experience working with external recruiting agencies or partners
- Comfort owning recruiting operations, including processes, tools, and systems
Work Environment
- Primarily remote within the U.S., with quarterly travel to company on-sites and conferences/events.
- Expect to work core Pacific Time Zone hours with employees across time zones.
