2025 Digital Marketing Contingent Intern (AI & CRO Focus), Dedrone

About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and curious Digital Marketing Intern to join our team for Summer 2025. This role will focus on conversion rate optimization (CRO) generally as well as researching, evaluating, and implementing AI-powered tools and tactics that support digital marketing performance. Reporting directly to the CMO, this internship offers a front-row seat to how a high-impact marketing team operates at the intersection of national defense, public safety, and technology. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of digital marketing—from demand generation and SEO/SEM to marketing automation, analytics, and web experience optimization.

Please note: this role will be slated as a 1099 Contractor role.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and help support implementation of emerging AI-driven marketing tools (e.g., personalization, analytics, A/B testing, CRO improvement)
• Support CRO efforts by identifying conversion barriers and opportunities across our digital ecosystem
• Assist with web analytics, landing page optimization, campaign performance tracking, and reporting
• Collaborate with sales on cross-functional projects including demand generation, lead routing and first response
• Present recommendations to senior leadership with data-backed insights and measurable goals
• Stay current on marketing technology trends and innovations, especially in AI and automation

What We're Looking For

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field with a focus on digital marketing
• Passion for AI, digital marketing, and using technology to improve performance
• Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with data and KPIs
• Self-starter with high curiosity and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bonus: Exposure to tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, ChatGPT, Webflow, HotJar or SalesForce
