Senior Embedded Linux Developer

Dedrone is the world's most trusted smart airspace security company. Hundreds of commercial, government and military customers around the world rely on Dedrone's comprehensive, command and control (C2) solution to protect against the persistent and escalating threat from drones while enabling "good" drones to fly. By leveraging AI/ML, Dedrone is the only solution that provides continuous, autonomous interrogation and verification of drones that enables both multi-sensor and multi-mitigation options onto a single fused "pane-of-glass". Whether on-premise / air-gapped or in the cloud, Dedrone customers can easily detect, track, identify, analyze, and mitigate drone threats.

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of Linux-based systems for ARM64 embedded platforms. • Optimize system performance, boot time, and reliability across hardware configurations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on system integration and validation.
  • Automate build, deployment, and maintenance processes using bash scripting and Linux toolchains.
  • Contribute to kernel configuration and driver development as needed.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience with embedded Linux development on ARM64 architecture.
  • Deep understanding of Debian/Ubuntu system internals and package management (dpkg, apt, lintian, pbuilder, etc.).
  • Solid grasp of Linux security hardening, secure boot, and update integrity mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, and bash scripting.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or supporting compliance efforts under the Cyber Resilience Act and RED directive.
  • Knowledge of Linux build systems such as Yocto, Buildroot, or custom Debian-based build pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux kernel driver development and low-level system debugging.
  • Familiarity with secure firmware signing, SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) management, and vulnerability tracking tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for embedded software delivery.
  • Contributions to open-source Linux or Debian projects.
