Working Student (M/F/D) – Altium Designer Library Management

Introduction: Are you passionate about electronics and PCB design? Join our development team in Kassel and support us in maintaining and expanding our electronic component library in Altium Designer. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with professional EDA tools in a fast-paced tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update schematic symbols and PCB footprints in Altium Designer
  • Create new components according to design standards
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and documentation of library entries
  • Collaborate with engineers to validate and test components
  • Assist in streamlining the library structure for ease of use and scalability

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a technical field of study (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering)
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and PCB design principles
  • Ability to read and understand component datasheets
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer or other EDA tools (training can be provided)
  • Experience in technical / mechanical drawing
  • Experience with 3D design tools (e.g., FreeCad, Fusion 360, SolidWorks) is a plus
  • Structured and detail-oriented working style
  • Proactive communication and willingness to learn
  • English skills at B2 level or higher (written and spoken); German is a plus
