Purpose
The Lead, Strategy & Operations role exists to support Divergent's executive leadership in driving company-wide strategic clarity, financial rigor, and operational alignment as the business scales.
The Role
- Maintain, refine, and develop the company's financial models, including revenue models and cost models used to inform operational and strategic decisions.
- Investor Materials. Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop investor materials and assist in facilitating due diligence for equity and debt financings
- Customer Materials. You will develop presentation materials and participate in discussions with Divergent customers. This involves supporting existing programs and exploring new program opportunities.
- Business Case Analyses. You will evaluate and analyze new business and market opportunities to drive customer strategies and R&D priorities.
- Strategic Planning. Work closely with organization leaders to develop cohesive objectives and targets, track, and report on the status of those targets.
- Special Projects. You will work with senior leadership to develop and implement various other strategic projects, including supporting the legal department, finance department, and engineering departments
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- Financial modeling and analysis is a core strength
- You bring both analytical and creative perspectives to each problem – blending the two in a compelling narrative comes naturally
- You excel at distilling complex problems into digestible and actionable steps, even when you're not a subject matter expert.
- You know how to prioritize an 80%/20% solution, but you don't mind getting in the weeds to push the final 20% across the line
- You communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal form
- 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, finance, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of manufacturing technology.
- Knowledge of the DoD acquisition cycle.
Work Environment
- This role is primarily based onsite in our Torrance, CA office.
Compensation
At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels S06 as evaluated through our interview process.
- S06 / Lead, Strategy and Operations: $141,400 - $194,400
