This role is a key contributor to inspection activities, supporting complex measurements, training peers, and upholding high-quality standards within the inspection team. You deliver accurate metrology data and inspection reports to ensure parts are compliant with engineering specifications.
Use metrology scanners, such FARO, Romer, Creaform C-Track, MetraSCAN, GOM ScanBox, to acquire geometrical scan data.
Process raw scan data, remove noise, and export files using comprehensive 3D metrology software such as PolyWorks & Zeiss.
Create and maintain inspection files, interpret results, and produce complete, accurate inspection reports.
Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to the requirements.
Perform inspections utilizing engineering drawings, standard procedures, calibrated manual gages/tools, and various inspection methods.
Record and maintain accurate data including inspection results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Assist Leadership with other various inspections and inspection-related tasks.
Keep the Metrology Lab clean, organized, and safe following 5S principles.
Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
At minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a Quality inspector role in an aerospace, automotive, or other relevant production environment
High-school diploma (required).
Proficient computer literacy (Windows, Teams, Excel, etc.).
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including knowledge of GD&T
Ability to lift parts up to 50 lb and operate scanning arms for extended periods.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
Associate or higher degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
Background interfacing with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams
Experience in regulated or high-performance manufacturing environments
Occasionally exposure to noise, machinery, welding, machining, hot surfaces, and airborne particles.
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of precision tools and materials.
Must lift up to 40 lbs. independently and 50 lbs. with assistance.
May involve crouching, climbing, confined spaces, or work at heights.
PPE (including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators as needed) and company uniform are required.
May occasionally require extended or weekend hours to meet production deadlines.
At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels TCH 02 - TCH 03 as evaluated through our interview process.
TCH 02: $23.00 - $32.00/hour
TCH 03: $26.00 - $35.00/hour
