Purpose

The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that enable scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise systems. This role drives disciplined execution across the full project lifecycle--aligning stakeholders, managing risk, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery--while championing developer experience and platform-centric thinking.

The Role

Develop and maintain comprehensive Project Management Plans, including Risk Management and Communication Management Plans, in alignment with organizational standards.

Identify, log, and mitigate project risks and issues; maintain risk register.

Partner with stakeholders to track and maintain up to date reports relevant to the Technology Team, including software usage, software budgeting, and renewal and refresh cycles.

Build and manage detailed, integrated work plans—including training, cut over, and environment/instance plans—that incorporate IT, business, and third-party resources.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support software evaluation and selection processes, including the creation of RFIs and the review of vendor proposals.

Review implementation of partner deliverables and lead formal sign-off processes to ensure quality, completeness, and alignment with project objectives.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Information Technology Project Management or Relevant Direct Work Experience (such as another I.T. position that self-managed projects).

2+ years working with cross-functional technical teams.

Strong foundation in project management fundamentals, with the ability to adapt delivery methodologies—such as Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches—based on project complexity and organizational needs.

Strong technical background — understanding of technology infrastructure, software (both SaaS and internally developed), and security concepts.

Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with IT, software/programming, engineering, and security stakeholders.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with the ability to produce professional executive level artifacts and dashboards either directly or by partnering with the BI team.

Comfortable driving both high-level strategy and low-level implementation details.
