- The role involves participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Leap features, including requirements gathering and production deployment.
- The successful candidate will assist in analyzing and optimizing the performance and scalability of core components and services.
- Troubleshooting and resolving software issues will be a significant part of the job responsibilities.
- Code reviews will be conducted to ensure best practices are followed, and constructive feedback will be provided to peers.
- Collaboration with other teams to develop, maintain, and support the Leap platform is expected.
- The opportunity to participate in the yearly D-Wave Hackathon will allow for innovation and idea generation.
- No prior knowledge of quantum computing is required, but there will be opportunities to learn about this emerging field.
⚡ Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required for this position.
- Candidates should have at least 2 years of professional experience as a software developer.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one other programming language, preferably a compiled language, is essential.
- Experience with defining, implementing, and consuming REST APIs is necessary for this role.
- A self-motivated and proactive attitude towards learning and development is important for success in this position.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills are crucial for collaboration with team members.
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases is expected.
- Experience developing in and for a Linux environment is a key requirement.
