✨ About The Role
- Responsible for employing 'Design for X' methodologies in new product development, focusing on spacecraft components from prototype to high volume production
- Design and implement automated manufacturing processes for lithium-Ion battery production and other electronics-related projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide expertise in DfX, and manage testing and validation of in-house materials and processes
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance product reliability, reduce costs, and increase capacity
- Support digital manufacturing initiatives, create process documentation, and lead operator training for manufacturing equipment
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced professional with 3-7 years in industrial, mechanical, or design engineering, particularly in spacecraft component development
- Proficient in continuous improvement methodologies like LEAN and Six Sigma, with a hands-on approach to fabrication tools and processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment, managing competing priorities effectively
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time and a bonus if certified in Six Sigma or have experience in industrial automation
- Bachelor’s/Master's/PhD in relevant fields required
