✨ About The Role
- The Principal Thermal Mechanical Engineer will work closely with mechanical, electrical, and RF team members on the development of satellite thermal control systems.
- This role involves ownership of the satellite thermal hardware from concept design through analysis, prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly.
- The position requires researching, analyzing, and advocating for new thermal products and technologies to improve existing designs.
- The engineer will report to the VP of Satellite Platform and will be based onsite at the Saratoga, CA office.
- Occasional travel may be needed for this position.

- A successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or a related engineering field with a strong background in heat transfer.
- They should possess demonstrated experience with thermal systems and passive thermal management techniques on satellites.
- The ideal candidate will have experience performing hand calculations for early feasibility and detailed heat transfer simulations for space vehicle components.
- Proficiency with Thermal Desktop is essential for this role.
- Experience with orbital mechanics and attitude dynamics related to thermal analysis is also important.
