Job Description

  • Design cell mechanical structures and deliver high-quality 2D/3D production drawings.
  • Review mechanical designs for feasibility, manufacturability, and performance robustness.
  • Optimize mechanical design to improve safety, yield, productivity, and product reliability.
  • Design and qualify jigs, fixtures, and mechanical components (tabs, pouch foils, trays, cans, cover plates, etc.).
  • Analyze cell breathing and swelling behavior to manage mechanical expansion risks.
  • Perform dimensional stack-up, tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA to support strong mass production readiness.
  • Support module-level mechanical integration with customers and participate in design reviews.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Create and maintain BOMs, assembly drawings, mechanical specifications, and design documentation.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in product development (battery industry preferred).
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of ASME standards and GD&T practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Self-motivated with a strong problem-solving mindset and accountability for results.
  • English fluency required; proficiency in Korean or Chinese is a plus.
