The Opportunity:

Factorial Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in our Billerica, MA location. This person will be responsible for Solstice Cell and Component Mechanical Design.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute the assigned DOEs related to Mechanical design to meet KPI target
  • Solstice clamping fixture design, SOP & alignment with Customers
  • Quality check of Clamping fixture for re-using
  • Problem solving related to Mechanical design
  • Support Clamping process operation
  • Support Thickness uniformity test and Pressure distribution test
  • Mechanical design (Cell & Component) improvement and drawing update
  • Shipping package design and risk assessment

We are looking for people who:

Required:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a mechanical design role to issue Drawings in a product development.
  • Skills and Experience with a 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, CATIA, Creo, etc.
  • Factorial Confidential: Company Skills and Experience utilizing machining equipment such as a vertical endmill, band saw, lathe, welding, 3D printer etc.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Aluminum machining, HW, welding techniques, and injection molding.
  • Experience utilizing measuring equipment such as loadcell, LVDT and Tekscan or other pressure related.
  • 1-3 years of experience working on lithium-based battery technology
