Product Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Product Coordinator plays a vital role in bridging the gap between engineering and operations within our Machining and Chamber Manufacturing department. This role is responsible for sustaining efficient workflow between planning and manufacturing engineering teams, and ensuring production readiness through proactive material and work order management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review manufacturing schedule and coordinate delivery dates.
  • Review work orders for material shortages and initiate material procurement as needed.
  • Communicate and prioritize work orders to production leadership.
  • Sustain and manage the flow process of work order creation between planning and manufacturing engineers.
  • Present updates and escalate issues during daily Tier 2 meetings with operations management and engineering support teams.
  • Identify hot or critical work orders requiring expedited processing and coordinate with operations leadership to ensure timely action.
  • Generate and maintain daily reports detailing key metrics, production blockers, and required escalations.
  • Address and manage miscellaneous tasks and urgent needs that arise in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Identify resource scarcity and allocation issues and escalate as needed.
  • Insure parts are moved through various areas as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role, preferably in aerospace or a similar high-reliability industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents such as part drawings and work orders.
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems (Odoo) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience working in avionics manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with material planning, production scheduling, and supply chain processes.
  • Comfortable presenting in management-level meetings and reporting key metrics.
