Events Marketing Manager
Forterra is a leading provider of autonomous systems for ground-based movement in the working world. The Events Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of Forterra's event portfolio including major tradeshows, recruiting events, partner engagements, and executive experiences. This role brings Forterra's brand, mission, and messaging to life through high-impact experiences that deepen engagement with customers, partners, and talent audiences. The Events and Experiential Marketing Manager ensures that all events deliver measurable business outcomes aligned with Forterra's growth and brand objectives.
This includes developing annual event strategies, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and continuously improving the effectiveness of Forterra's event and experiential programs. The Manager partners closely with Marketing, Product, Talent Acquisition, and Leadership teams to ensure event experiences reflect the company's brand standards and mission. This role reports to the Marketing Lead.
What You'll Do
- Own the execution of Forterra's annual event portfolio and collaborate on strategy in support of marketing, recruiting, and strategy objectives
- Lead tradeshow operations, including booth design, logistics, scheduling, staff coordination, and lead capture, ensuring every presence maximizes visibility and ROI
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Strategy, and Talent teams to align event content, messaging, and deliverables with company priorities
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, including contract negotiation, production oversight, and budget adherence
- Oversee on-site execution to ensure flawless delivery and consistency across all events, from executive receptions to large-scale tradeshows
- Measure and report event performance, synthesizing data and feedback to improve processes, engagement, and overall event impact year-over-year
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in event management, experiential marketing, or tradeshow operations
- Proven success managing both large-scale industry events and smaller, high-impact experiences
- Track record of content ideation and content creation specifically for event environments
- Strong sense of spatial design, storytelling, and brand translation in physical environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Ability to demonstrate absolute ownership of event and tradeshow outcomes
- Experience developing and executing event strategies in the technology, defense, or robotics sectors
- Demonstrated ability to measure event performance and optimize for ROI
- Strong creative sensibility and ability to collaborate with designers, fabricators, and agencies
- Experience leading experiential activations that integrate digital, physical, and brand storytelling components
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience with international events and global trade requirements desirable.
US Salary Range $110,000—$140,000 / annually
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra's overall compensation package.
