Senior Technical Recruiter
Forterra is a leading provider of autonomous systems for ground-based movement in the working world. Amongst some of the earliest innovators in the field of driverless technology, Forterra is focused on building systems that protect front-line soldiers and enable civilian workers in the industrial base. Forterra is the go-to provider of ground autonomy solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense, which harnesses the technology for asymmetric warfare in critical conditions.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter on a 6-month temp to perm contract. The hire we want is someone who excels in a dynamic working environment and wants to add value to our team and organization. You will both support and act as the primary point of contact for a variety of roles but primarily supporting our engineering functions.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing to closing candidates
- Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand technical hiring needs and develop tailored strategies
- Identify and engage top-tier talent through direct outreach, networking, and creative sourcing techniques
- Quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts in robotics, autonomy, AI, and ML to assess candidate qualifications effectively
- Manage a seamless and high-touch candidate experience
- Maintain a high-level of attention to detail in tracking candidates and recruitment metrics
- Work effectively with a wide range of personalities, from engineers to executives
- Travel occasionally for career fairs, conferences, and on-site hiring events
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years recruiting in technical environments
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Well-versed in Boolean search string manipulation and accustomed to outside-the-box-thinking to find candidates
- Experience supporting and collaborating with hiring managers, ensuring they get top talent
- Well-versed in managing applicant tracking systems with actions including but not limited to dispositioning candidates, contacting candidates, and opening/closing requisitions
- Local (or willing to move) to our Arlington, VA location
- US Person/Lawful Permanent Residence
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Rippling Applicant Tracking System
- Experience using data-driven analysis to drive change
- Experience or interest in recruiter technology including but not limited to automation, tooling, or AI
- Technical background in software and hardware engineering
US Hourly Range $40hr—$70hr
