Forterra is a leading provider of autonomous systems for ground-based movement in the working world. Amongst some of the earliest innovators in the field of driverless technology, Forterra is focused on building systems that protect front-line soldiers and enable civilian workers in the industrial base. Forterra is the go-to provider of ground autonomy solutions for the U.S. Department of Defense, which harnesses the technology for asymmetric warfare in critical conditions.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter on a 6-month temp to perm contract. The hire we want is someone who excels in a dynamic working environment and wants to add value to our team and organization. You will both support and act as the primary point of contact for a variety of roles but primarily supporting our engineering functions.

What You'll Do

1. Own and manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing to closing candidates
2. Partner with hiring managers to deeply understand technical hiring needs and develop tailored strategies
3. Identify and engage top-tier talent through direct outreach, networking, and creative sourcing techniques
4. Quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts in robotics, autonomy, AI, and ML to assess candidate qualifications effectively
5. Manage a seamless and high-touch candidate experience
6. Maintain a high-level of attention to detail in tracking candidates and recruitment metrics
7. Work effectively with a wide range of personalities, from engineers to executives
8. Travel occasionally for career fairs, conferences, and on-site hiring events

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years recruiting in technical environments
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Well-versed in Boolean search string manipulation and accustomed to outside-the-box-thinking to find candidates
• Experience supporting and collaborating with hiring managers, ensuring they get top talent
• Well-versed in managing applicant tracking systems with actions including but not limited to dispositioning candidates, contacting candidates, and opening/closing requisitions
• Local (or willing to move) to our Arlington, VA location
• US Person/Lawful Permanent Residence

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Rippling Applicant Tracking System
• Experience using data-driven analysis to drive change
• Experience or interest in recruiter technology including but not limited to automation, tooling, or AI
• Technical background in software and hardware engineering

US Hourly Range $40hr—$70hr
