About the Role

We are seeking a Workplace & People Coordinator to serve as a key front-of-house ambassador for our offices and support our People & Talent operations. This role blends traditional workplace administration, office operations, and talent coordination—requiring strong organizational skills, excellent technical fluency, and a service-oriented mindset.

You will manage visitor check-ins, partner with Facilities on workplace logistics, coordinate interviews and candidate experiences, and support new hire arrivals. The ideal candidate is highly comfortable with scheduling systems and collaboration tools and will play a vital part in ensuring a professional and seamless experience for candidates, employees, and visitors alike.

What You'll Do

Workplace & Office Operations

  • Serve as the primary front-of-house representative for our offices, greeting visitors, interviewees, and employees.
  • Manage visitor check-ins, Outlook calendars, and internal communication channels to coordinate meeting and arrival logistics.
  • Partner with the Facilities team to support daily office operations, inspections, seating, vendor coordination, workspace readiness, and general workplace issue resolution.
  • Assist with setup and support for hybrid meetings and office events.

Talent & Experience Coordination

  • Coordinate interview scheduling across hiring managers, candidates, and interview panels using Outlook and Rippling.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for interviewees—providing clear communication on logistics, scheduling, travel, and basic accommodations.
  • Assist with travel coordination through Egencia as needed.
  • Support new hire onboarding logistics, including first-day arrivals and system access coordination.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the People & Talent team, hiring managers, and Facilities to ensure a cohesive workplace for employees and experience for candidates and new hires.
  • Maintain accurate digital records related to scheduling, workplace operations, and recruiting support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in office administration, workplace coordination, recruiting coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong technical proficiency MS Office and HR software products.
  • Comfortable learning and navigating digital workplace tools and collaboration platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, service-oriented demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting high-volume interview scheduling and candidate communication.
  • Prior experience partnering with facilities or managing workplace logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot minor technical or scheduling issues independently.

US Hourly Rate $25-$29/hr

Location On-site in Clarksburg, MD

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra's overall compensation package. In addition to base salary and equity, Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
