✨ About The Role
- Responsible for fabricating, assembling, testing, and developing custom hardware for advanced metal 3D printing factory systems
- Required to work with a variety of manufacturing tools including lathes, mills, bandsaws, grinders, precision drills, and wire EDMs
- Expected to perform planned maintenance and unplanned repairs on equipment such as air compressors, water chillers, and inert gas systems
- Must be able to read and utilize schematics to troubleshoot systems down to the component level
- Involved in organizing and improving shop operations, owning process improvements, and maintaining a first-class R&D shop
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced individual with 8+ years in manufacturing or production, preferably in an R&D or custom job shop environment
- Skilled in manual machining, welding, cutting, fitting, and bending of various materials including stainless steels, aluminums, and high-strength nickel alloys
- Possesses formal hardware-centric technical training/certification such as an A&P license or NTMA license
- Proficient in utilizing power tools, hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
- Capable of setting up and maintaining facility systems with a focus on air, water, and cryogenic inert gas systems
