Job Overview
The Battery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the production build line. This role ensures that production targets are met, quality standards are adhered to, and the production process is efficient and effective. The supervisor will lead a team of production technicians and production team leads, coordinate activities between departments, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and product quality. As the Battery Production Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the assembly and test of Battery Module and Packs on the Battery line.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure efficient and effective production processes and that production targets and deadlines are met.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to production team members. Conduct performance evaluations, address performance issues, and manage disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Monitor and inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Address and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and adequate stock to meet production needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
- Perform routine maintenance on assembly equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or automotive assembly.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role/managing a technician team.
- Experience in Battery Modules/ Packs assembly or a related field, ideally in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications and requirements.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy components and stand for extended periods
- Commitment to workplace safety and following safety protocols
Hours:
- This role is assigned to Shift 2 / standard hours (4:30pm - 1:00am), and the shift schedule is subject to change.

California Pay Range
$100,000 - $120,000 USD
