Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician at Impulse, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility infrastructure, production equipment, and support systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This hourly role supports manufacturing, test, and launch-related activities in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and tools
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Repair and maintain production equipment, HVAC systems, utilities, and building infrastructure
  • Respond to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Perform inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation
  • Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and facility modifications
  • Coordinate with engineers, operators, and external contractors as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial, facilities, or equipment maintenance
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems; basic electrical troubleshooting preferred
  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work overtime, off-shifts, or weekends as needed

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, automotive, or high-tech environments
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, or industrial controls
  • HVAC, electrical, or maintenance-related certifications
  • Experience working in cleanrooms or controlled environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Additional Information: Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
