As a Manufacturing Technician at Impulse, you will be responsible for the precision assembly, testing, inspection, and documentation of high-reliability aerospace components and related fluid components used in spaceflight hardware. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing while developing technical skills, process discipline, and an understanding of quality and safety standards.
Assist with the assembly, disassembly, and installation of aerospace components, subassemblies, and systems. Perform precision fitting, torquing, sealing, and alignment of components. Clean, prep, and handle parts in accordance with aerospace cleanliness standards. Identify, document, and communicate non-conformances or build issues. Accurately complete build records, travelers, and quality documentation. Work closely with engineers, quality, and test teams to resolve build issues. Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and rework of hardware under supervision. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Support hardware rework, process efficiency, quality, and reliability. Support assembly and installation of equipment in facility.
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred. 2+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience (aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or similar high-reliability industries). Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions. Proficiency with hand tools, torque tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic measurement equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
2+ years of demonstrated mechanical assembly experience; specifically on aerospace-grade hardware. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to read basic technical drawings and follow detailed instructions. Basic hand-tool experience. Willingness to accept feedback and learn from experienced technicians. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information: Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
